    Norwich Cathedral - Family Activities
    Wed 4 & Thu 5 Apr

    Step into a virtual sacred space with the schools and family learning team from Norwich Cathedral. Step inside the amazing history of Norwich Cathedral and explore how it was built, how the monks lived, prayed and worked there. Explore illuminated writing and dress in costume. Try your hand at quill writing and stained glass designs. 

    Arts and Crafts with Norfolk WI 
    Wed 4 & Thu 5 Apr

    Meet members of Norfolk Women's Institute and have a go at a selection of arts and crafts activities, including card making, decorative boxes and needlework. Also get the children involved in a free toy making session. See the WI's selection of new and second hand craft items on sale, at bargain prices. 

    Embroidery Skills with the Embroiderers' Guild
    Tue 3 to Sat 7 Apr

    Whether you're a complete novice or an expert textile practitioner, spend some time with the Embroiderers' Guild and learn something new. Norfolk members are exhibiting, demonstration and teaching for five days at Makers' Month. Drop in for open access sewing sessions for young people, who can contribute to the world's longest embroidery. 

    Weaving with Textilia 
    Mon 2 to Wed 4 Apr

    Julia Symonds runs Textilia in Norwich, offering spinning and weaving workshops for all ages. Julia is at Makers' Month for three days where each morning you can have a go at weaving on one of four looms. All materials are provided.

    Upcycling with NANSA 
    Sat 17 & Sun 18 Mar, Wed 4 & Thu 5 Apr

    See just how much you can upcycle with the team from the Artshopproject at NANSA, a charity which supports people with physical, learning and sensory disabilities. See upcycling demonstrations and displays and speak to the upcyclers about their work.

    Crafting with Stepping Stones
    Wed 4 Apr (10am to noon)

    Join the people from Stepping Stones and let them show you how to make a colourful flower arrangement from plastic bottles. Stepping Stones is a Norwich based charity for adults with learning disabilities. Come and have a chat and see if your flowers are as good as theirs.

    Postcards for Peace
    Mon 12 to Wed 14 Mar & 1 to 5 Apr

    Postcards for Peace is a project helping displaced people living in Norfolk feel welcome in their new home. Local artists, school children and other participants have made postcards depicting either a message of welcome or significant life experience. View the work they've created and make a postcard yourself, using textiles, photography, clay, paint or pencil. All materials and guidance provided for free.     Drawing Challenge with Norfolk Community Learning Services

    Norfolk County Council runs a wide variety of creative adult learning courses. Have a taster today and take part in a Drawing Challenge. See how many objects you can draw in ten minutes.  All materials provided.
