Access for All

Access for disabled visitors

Wheelchair Access
The Forum has made provision for the use of wheelchairs. A ramp for easier access runs along the Bethel Street side of the building.

Lifts have been installed from the car park to all levels of the building.  There are also separate lifts in the Library and in the Origins Visitor Attraction.

Wheelchairs can be borrowed from Origins and a motorised scooter is available in the Library.

Parking spaces for those with Disabled Badges can be found on Level -2 in the car park.

Toilets
The Forum provides full public toilet facilities, including toilets for those with disabilities. These can be found on the ground floor. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users can also be found in Origins.

Partially Sighted/Hard of Hearing
We welcome the use of guide dogs within The Forum and dogs which are used to assist those who are hard of hearing. The Library, City Learning Station, The Learning Shop and the Tourist Information Centre have specific equipment to cater for partially sighted people or are able to arrange documents in large print. The Library provides large print books in fiction and non-fiction as well as a range of books on tape and other reading aids.

A hearing induction loop is installed within Origins.
