The fourth date in The Forum's Club Centro series sees Sweden's foremost jazz pianist, Bobo Stenson, return to Norwich with his Trio at the end of this month.
First establishing himself within the European jazz scene on moving to Stockholm in 1966, Stenson played with Don Cherry, Sonny Rollins and Stan Getz before beginning a long association with ECM Records and Jan Garbarek, among others, over the decades that followed. Recognition of his talent came recently when Stenson won the European Jazz Prize as Musician of the Year in 2006.
Three-way conversational jazz that is as natural as breathing…full of anticipation, insinuation and disguised power.
