Get your bob skates on!

International skaters from this year’s Holiday on Ice production, Fantasy, will launch brand new parent and toddler skating sessions at The Forum. Two Olympic standard skating stars will show parents and toddlers how the professionals make it look so effortless at 11am on Monday 13 November.

Subsequent parent and toddler skating sessions, being held in association with Virgin Money, will take place at the EDF Energy Ice Rink at 11am every Monday whilst the rink is in place, (except on Bank Holidays). During the sessions, only pre-school aged children and their carers will be allowed on the ice, giving tiny tots the opportunity to get their bob-skates on safely.

Prices, including skate hire will be just £4 per parent with toddlers skating for free. Each toddler must be accompanied on a one to one basis by an adult.

Jason Wyer-Smith, Marketing Manager at Virgin Money said: “We are delighted to be part of the parent and toddler sessions at the EDF Energy Ice Rink at The Forum. It's a great chance for mums and dads to let their little ones experience the fun of the ice with other kids of a similar age group."

Mark Hand, Marketing Manager at The Forum Trust said; “Lots of parents brought their younger children to have fun on the ice last year. We thought a special session would be ideal for toddlers to enjoy a really different outdoor winter fun activity at an off peak time when fewer people would be on the ice.”

Toddlers should wear socks with solid, waterproof shoes or trainers that are done up securely as bob skates will be fitted around their existing footwear. Toddlers should be able to walk unaided and be fairly solid on their feet before taking to the ice.
