Summer Exhibitions at The Forum
A series of three contemporary art exhibitions will take place at The Forum, Norwich, from Monday 2nd to Saturday 15th July. The diverse collection of artists, who all live or work in Norfolk, will include Sandra Haywood, Claire Boyce and Tony Pick, and John Poole with local group Axess 11.
Throughout the two weeks, Sandra Haywood’s show, See Colour, will include her latest range of spontaneous paintings, accompanied by the atmospheric landscapes of Helen Herbet and the intriguing and frequently amusing creations of Heather Tamplin. This will be the second exhibition of Haywood’s work at The Forum.
Claire Boyce and Tony Pick present a joint exhibition of works entitled Coast, from Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th July. As the name suggests, Boyce’s richly coloured, emotive oils and Pick’s photographic portraits and seascapes take their inspiration from natural beauty of the Norfolk coastline.
The final exhibition of the series features watercolours and oils by John Poole, alongside paintings and ceramics by local group Axess 11, led by Averil Dowdeswell, from Monday 9th to Saturday 14th July.
Dorothy Smith, Events Co-ordinator at The Forum Trust, said: “After the success of last year’s Summer Exhibition Series, we decided to give local artists another opportunity to display their work to the public in The Forum. We are delighted to be helping to promote some of the amazing range of creative talent that we have here in Norfolk.“
