Fairtrade at The Forum
Fair Trade in Norfolk, supported by Norfolk Education and Action for Development (NEAD), is set to mark the end of the national Fairtrade Fortnight campaign with a festival at The Forum on Saturday 10th March.
Local and national organisations, including Banana Link, The Pink Planet and Produced in Norfolk, will be at The Forum from 10am to 5pm promoting their own fairly and ethically traded products and generating public awareness and support for the campaign. Meanwhile children will be kept entertained with activities including face painting and body percussion.
The Fairtrade Festival at The Forum has become a regular annual event and is a highlight of the spring events programme at the city centre venue.
Also keen to support the campaign, Café Bar Marzano at The Forum plans to host a programme of music events celebrating the best in local and world music. Highlights will include Cuban Drumming Workshops on Saturday 3rd and Saturday 10th March, a Jazz, Gospel and Early Blues on Tuesday 6th March and World Music featuring DJ Ayyub King (Future Radio) and guests on Friday 9th March. For a full listing of music events and to book a place (£5) at the Cuban Drumming Workshops, call the Café Bar Marzano on 01603 665504.
