Learning at The Children's Library The Children's Library at the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library has the largest range of books, story tapes/CDs and CDRoms in Norfolk.
There are board books for babies, picture books for toddlers, big books to share, books for children who are learning to read and books for children who are confident readers. The non fiction titles include books, videos and DVDs to support homework and to help children enjoy their leisure time. Books can be borrowed from the Millennium Library and returned to any Norfolk library.
For schools the children's team can offer a bespoke session about the library. General tours are popular as this gives the children a chance to have a look around a big library which is a very different experience to a school or community library.
Subject specific sessions can also be arranged e.g. Victorians where the children are taught research skills or sessions where children can look at the IT applications used within the library. Children can listen to stories or find about the latest fiction available. There are 7 computers available for children to use - these can be booked in advance.
