  • Choose from: biographies, best sellers, travel, cookery, child care, romance, murder mysteries, historical novels, sci-fi thrillers and much, much more. Our Express section located at the front of the library on the ground floor offers a quick choice from the latest paperback titles.
  • Be entertained with our huge collection of CDs, videos, DVDs and Playstation games
  • Relax with a newspaper or magazine
  • Use one of our 90 PCs with free internet access, email and office software, local information and online courses.
  • Students can access study material both in books and online, including revision texts, information on colleges, careers and education guides and periodical articles.
  • Visit the Council Information Centre for advice about local council services
  • Children can discover real and imaginary worlds with our collection of adventure, magical, ghost and funny stories. If you need information on a school project or hobby we have books and information online.
  • Older children and teenagers can choose from a range of chart music, blockbuster DVDs, Playstation games, teen reads, sport books, graphic novels, magazines and study support material.
  • Babies and toddlers are very welcome and you don't need to worry about noise and behaviour. For your convenience there are toilets and baby changing facilities adjacent to the children's library.
  • We have story times for children of all ages as well as events arranged for the holidays.
Visit the Heritage Centre if you're interested in local history. You can trace your family tree or research your local community. 
 
If you need business information or you're thinking of starting up your own business, Business Services on the second floor offers reports and information in books and online.
 
The 2nd Air Division Memorial Library houses a collection of unique materials about American culture and the Second World War.
 
What can I borrow and how do I renew?
We have a network of 46 branch libraries and 18 mobile libraries in Norfolk. When you join the library you can: use any library in Norfolk, borrow up to 15 books, and 10 CDs, videos, DVDs or Playstation games at any one time, borrow books for 3 weeks and return books to any library in Norfolk. Books can be renewed 3 times in person or by ringing our renewals line 0844800 8006 or by visiting our web site www.library.norfolk.gov.uk
