  •  1,500-year history told through the literary canon and the canting academy (underworld slang)

Evolving English: One language many voices runs at the British Library from 12 November 2010 until 3 April 2011. The Millennium Library is one of 6 other libraries to be taking part in the project

The library will be hosting two week's worth of events celebrating all that is Norfolk.  There will be a project that will record English as it is spoken in Norfolk now, author talks and dialect based fun events.
