Cards for Good Causes are offering a wide choice of charity cards representing more than 40 national and local charities, plus Advent Calendars, napkins Christmas wrapping paper and gift tags and much, much more. Raising as much money as possible each year for their charities, nationwide they help over 320 local and national charities.
Their shop in Norwich has had a site in the city since 1979 and has been at the present venue for the last 10years. It has become the 3rd largest shop in their company, Cards for Good Causes. This could not have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of their management team and more than 90 volunteers.
The inspiration for Cards for Good Causes came in 1959 when a group of medical charities gathered together to discuss the coordination of publicity for selling charity Christmas cards. They formed the charity ‘The 1959 Group of Charities’ and, in 1964 began selling cards from empty shops in town centres.
In 1988 Cards for Good Causes Limited was established as the trading arm of The 1959 Group of Charities, a multi-charity membership organisation
They have around 300 temporary shops found in community and tourist information centres, churches, libraries and museums right across the country.
