
Has the modern world been created in large part by ridding ourselves of magic and coming to understand that magic is senseless superstition? Some philosophers claim that what we usually call `magic` is an avoidable part of human life but that we are no longer able to recognise magic for what it is. Can modern common `disenchantment` be reconciled with alternative views? Can the modern world be opened up to a more `magical` point of view? Speaker Tom Greaves.
