Man battles with the environment but works with it too. The key is to find the right balance to prolong our existence. We see the world as a complete image; however, if we separated it into layers it would become a completely different image. These layers could be simpler, more abstract, or something we simply can’t understand.

A subversion of the subject matter: Man in the Environment, exploring the female’s power, physically, socially and philosophically: Gaia, the Greek Goddess was considered ‘’Mother of all’’ a notion that women hold a magical power to reproduce. I see an irony with the materials used to connote the naturalness of growth, movement and nurturing women freely devote to their own.

Will the destructive power of man ever cease to exist?
When exploring war, I intended to communicate a loss of innocence and purity. The idea of books with unknown stories and the nameless people who settled between the pages intrigued me. The tower with the white colour resembles the delicate, breakable way society stays together caused by conflict and controversy. When exploring war, I focused on the idea that man can destroy anything in his power.
