ELEMENTS EXTRA
Mon 25 Jan – Sat 13 Feb (closed Sun)
10am – 5pm, Fusion
Featuring work from A Level and primary school students, Elements Extra makes use of Fusion, The Forum’s new digital space to present a thought provoking and dynamic exhibition. Including photography, animation and mixed media, this work encompasses the theme ‘Man and the Environment’ through the eyes of children and young people.
Discover a diverse selection of Photography and Art & Design work from A Level students at Helleson High School. This work engages with the theme to produce a thought provoking and dynamic exhibition of mixed media and photography. This beautiful and vibrant portrayal investigates nature, war, natural materials and landscapes in an imaginative and creative way and helps us to understand how young people perceive man’s connection with the environment.

Year 5 Valley Primary School Pupils have developed their own unique collection of work as part of Elements Extra featuring poems, animations and drawings that reflect their understanding of the four seasons, how seasonal change influences nature, how we affect seasons and what they mean to us. Vital support provided by Bayer CropScience enabled Community Artist, Tim Edwards to work with both schools to develop Elements Extra. Bayer CropScience Norwich is situated in close proximity to both Hellesdon High School and Valley Primary School. Projects like this help the local community to understand more about Bayer CropScience and the work they do within the local area.
'Bayer CropScience has long been a supporter of Arts education in Norwich and we’re delighted to work in partnership with the Forum on the 'Elements' project, celebrating creativity and innovation inspired by the environment and man-made world. The outreach part of this project has been a tremendous success and we’re very excited to see how all the students involved have interpreted the theme. With pieces being submitted from students aged from 7-18 years, we are really looking forward to seeing their very different ideas on the subject matter.'
David Jones, Site Manager, Bayer CropScience
Thank you to artist Tim Edwards and staff and pupils at both Hellesdon High School and Valley Primary School for taking part in this project.
